Call for Papers (CFP)

The scope of the 29th International Conference on Automation and Computing (ICAC2024) covers a broad spectrum of multidisciplinary areas in automation, smart manufacturing, robotics, control, computing and information systems, ranging from fundamental research to real-world practical applications. The conference welcomes the submission of papers in the nature of original research and technical reviews from but not limited to Control Theory and Application, Information Technology and Systems, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous Systems, Big Data and Data mining, Coomunication and Networks, Modelling and Simulation, etc.

Paper Submisson Guiidelines: The submitted papers should be no more than 6 pages (A4 paper) with IEEE conference paper format (Link: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html). The papers should be submitted online at https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ICAC2024.

Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements. The Proceedings of International Conference on Automation and Computing have been published on IEEE Xplore since 2011.

Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit extended article versions to a special issue of Systems Science & Control Engineering and a special issue of Sensors.

Call for Special Session Proposals

A special session is an embedded session in ICAC2024, focusing on a specific research topic or with tutorial values relevant to the main conference. Special sessions offer a venue for creating awareness of, and providing exposure to emerging research areas, and other topics of broad interest to attendees. History and industry-sponsored sessions also fall into this category. Each session will be expected to accept about 5 papers.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Proposals should contain the proposed topics, anticipated number of papers and the proposed session chair(s) along with a short biograph emphasising the track record of conference/session organisation. Plea Please email your special session proposals in PDF format by 29 Feb 2024. The ICAC2024 programme chair, Prof. Cunjia Liu (c.liu5@lboro.ac.uk) and co-chairs Dr. Xuewu Dai (xuewu.dai@northumbria.ac.uk), et.al. will review the proposal and notify the organizer within two weeks after receviing the proposal. Please use “ICAC2024 special session proposal” as the email subject.
  • Each session will be expected to accept about 5 papers.
  • Paper Submissions for accepted special session should follow the same paper Submission Guidelines for the main conference.
- The length of a special session paper submission is limited to 6 pages.

  • Proposal notification: Within two weeks after submission
  • Paper Submission & notification dues: no later than two weeks after the congress due dates
